研究方向

主要从事玉米和马铃薯等植物发育相关基因的功能和表达调控研究,以及利用基因工程方法提高玉米中赖氨酸和蛋白质含量的研究。在国家自然科学基金的资助下,对马铃薯花粉特异表达基因SBgLR的表达调控机制做了深入研究,发现SBgLR基因的表达调控是非常复杂和精细的,在-345~-9区段内分布着几乎所有调控在花粉中特异表达的顺式元件,足以驱动基因在花粉中特异表达。其中在 -269~-227之间,存在一个正调控元件,它克服了-227下游的抑制元件在花粉中的抑制作用,确保基因在花粉中表达;-227~-209间的回文结构很可能承担了抑制元件的功能。研究还发现SBgLR基因的5¢UTR也参与基因转录水平和翻译水平的调控。由此提出了SBgLR基因表达的核心转录调控模型。 在国家“863”和转基因专项的资助下,从植物中克隆了多个高赖氨酸蛋白基因,将克隆的高赖氨酸基因转入玉米中,在种子中特异表达,获得了高赖氨酸高蛋白的转基因玉米,为玉米的品质改良育种提供了有用的基因资源和种质资源。
